Indonesia

When we first visited Indonesia, the parallels with Bharat stood out - the grand temples, daily rituals and customs. Going deeper we realised that Indigenous Animism in Indonesia has its own roots, beliefs and tradition. Although it is the largest Islamic nation in the world, yet they have retained their traditional rituals and practices.

Apart from the well known Balinese tribes, The Dayak people of Borneo, The Turaja people of Sulawesi, The Papuan tribes and many more still maintain their traditional ways of life in the Indonesian archipelago.

In this series, we explore various sacred spaces, the belief in Spirits and ancestors, the rituals associated with them.

Cambodia

Presently a Buddhist country, Cambodia has the largest hindu temple complex in the world - the Ankor Wat. Apart from the temple complex and its intricate details, we will be exploring the surrounding areas of Bayon temple, Banteay Srei, Ankor Thom, Kbal Spean - thousand lingas etc.

Stay in the loop.
